Barnegat Light & High Bar Community
Barnegat Light is a quiet vacation area with various seafood restaurants and unique shops. Home to the famous lighthouse called “Old Barney” by many, the light house tower is open to the public during the summer vacation months and is a great attraction to visit. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park has picnic and fishing areas and is a great spot to spend your LBI summer vacation. High Bar Harbor is a waterfront community with many waterfront and waterview homes. West of Barnegat Light, High Bar Harbor is a wonderful place to spend your Long Beach Island summer vacation. If you like to be on the water, you have come to the right LBI vacation town.

Long Beach Island’s Barnegat Lighthouse: 208 Broadway Barnegat Light, (609) 494-2016. A 32 acre park with the famous Lighthouse which you can visit the lightkeepers catwalk. You can also birdwatch, learn maritime history, fish, picnic, view nature trails and of course, enjoy the spectacular view from top the lighthouse.
Barnegat Light Historical Society and Museum: 501 Central Avenue Barnegat Light, (609) 494-8578. The museum features artifacts, replicas and photographs depicting the history of Barnegat Light and Long Beach Island.
